Among other things, our school is preparing several important projects that are being accomplished on international (European) level. This is an opportunity to thank all of our new European friends that are going to make partnership with our school in any project we/they can think of. As some of them are being done at this moment.

Our school in Macinec is one of the largest schools in the Međimurje county. We have almost 500 pupils from grades 1 to 8. Our main characteristic is that majority of our pupils (75%) is Roma population - they live in the nearby villages of Trnovec and Parag and therefor attend our school.
Our teachers come from all over the county and Croatia, as well. There are 40 of them.
There is another school district in the village of Gornji Hrašćan with only 38 pupils from grades 1 to 4.
We implement many different programmes for children and young people who have interests in different educational areas - assembly, ICT, Maths, drama-theater, recitation, journalism, etc.
We are happy to be a part of several European projects (UNICEF project 'Stop violence among children' and eTwinning - partnership with other European countries) and also some of our own.
